Suggestions For Outfitters For First Time Boating/fishing Near La?

I’m planning for a boating/fishing trip (before summer’s fully over) for few friends coming over to LA for a summer visit.
Please suggest the places and outfitters where I can rent a boat and fish.
Also whats the quickest way to get a fishing license?
P.S. Idea is to have a fun time whether we can catch fish or not :o)
Thanks in advance!

you will need a license (all of you older than sixteen) but go to Davey Jones locker in Newport Beach (on the penninsula) they rent skiffs and the bays are loaded in fall with spotted bay bass, croaker some halibut some white sea bass and they give you a half scoop of anchovies. use eight pound line and corolina rig about half ounce sliding sinkers and drift with the current from before the P C H bridge under it and past it and then motor up past where you started from and do it again and again if the tide is going out early in the morning so will the wind be right but you want the tide coming in in the afternoon because that way the wind and the tide moves together. there are lots of bass along all the mored boats so pull in drop baits and hang on. way out by the U S Coast guard docks there is awesome eelgrasss and I use plastics all through it and get some decent bass and halibut in there
